

RAF Evanton as it now looks, formerly a Naval Air station established on the edge of the Cromarty Firth near Invergordon in 1923. The airfield was changed to the RAF in 1938 for use as a training range for Bombing and Air Gunnery.
Many of the virtually obsolete front line aircraft ended up here in a training roll, Heyfords, Battles, Whitleys, Blenheims and Hamptons.
